• Selenite is a type of Gypsum that comes in a number of variations. Its pure form is relatively clear with a well formed structure. The most common variety seen and recognized as Selenite is the fibrous, splintery form called Satin Spar. Satin spar is usually sold as towers, slabs and polished shapes like spheres, pyramids, and palm stones. Alabaster is another variety with striations that run along the length of typically tabular crystals.
